Cuba
Havana. Matanzas. The island where Yoruba survived everything. Eight days inside the living heart of Afro-Cuban identity.
The Drumbeat Never Stopped
Cuba is a living archive of the African diaspora. The Yoruba traditions that enslaved people carried across the Atlantic did not disappear here. They transformed. They went underground. They became Santería, rumba, the batá drum, the salsa. They became the rhythm of the entire island. Afro Jetset takes you past the classic cigars and convertibles and into the living heart of Afro-Cuban identity.
We cross the harbor to Regla and speak with a babalawo, a Yoruba priest, about what survival looks like across centuries. We take a private class in Matanzas, the cradle of Afro-Cuban culture, learning rumba and the batá drum from masters whose ancestors created them. We eat at a paladar that supports a community dance school. Our cigar maker is a cooperative of Afro-Cuban women. And we gather on the Malecón under the tropical night sky with young Cubans talking about identity, resistance, and what comes next.

Book This Journey
Cultural immersion, and deliberately off the beaten path. We want you to feel like you're visiting long lost family and to root yourself deeply while you travel with us. That's where the transformation happens. You don't watch the culture from a bus window. You're inside it. You're learning directly from the people who live it. You're participating in traditions, sharing meals in homes, and having conversations that shift how you see the world. The experience falls apart at scale, which is why we cap every journey at 15 people maximum.
Head to our website and select the journey that speaks to you. You'll see dates, full itineraries, who's leading it, what's included, and what to expect. Click to book, submit your deposit, and our team will send you everything you need to prepare. We'll check in with you about your travel preferences, any dietary needs, what you want to get out of the journey, and how we can make sure this experience actually transforms you. There's no high-pressure sales call. There's no generic template. We're building this with you because we know that intention matters and that the people who travel with us are different.
We run cultural immersion journeys, wellness retreats, nature expeditions, and fully bespoke luxury trips. Every single one is built on the same foundation: deep access to communities we've spent years building relationships with, small group sizes capped at 15 people maximum, and the understanding that you're not a tourist checking boxes. You're a traveler stepping into spaces where culture is lived, not performed. Our journeys span Tanzania, Kenya, Namibia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Colombia, and Brazil. We also run specialized retreats focused on specific intentions like healing, creative renewal, or professional development.
Standard journeys start at 3,000 USD per person for 8 days. We ask for a 500 USD deposit to reserve your place, with the full balance due 90 days before departure. That price covers 7 nights in boutique accommodations, all ground transport, guided cultural experiences led by locals whose families have carried these traditions for generations, meals as specified in your itinerary, and full journey leadership from our team. What's separate: airfare, travel insurance, visas, and gratuities. If you want to extend your stay, we offer add-on experiences for 900 USD that you can customize with our team when you book.
It goes straight into the communities we travel to, not as one-time donations but as standing relationships funded by every single journey we run. Right now that means:
Education: Joyland Prime Academy in Kenya, a school running since 2008 that serves its community long after any individual trip ends.
Health: Microclinic projects across Kenya and Tanzania, expanding access to basic healthcare in the communities where we operate.
Economic development: Entrepreneurship training and creative economic programs for youth, so the next generation builds opportunity at home instead of leaving to find it elsewhere.
Mental health and creative community: Our Open Mic in Tanzania, a free safe space built around creative expression that's welcomed over 500 artists in two years, free to attend and free to perform.
This isn't a marketing line. It's how the company is structured.
Why travel with AFroJetset instead of anywhere else?We don't sell vacations. We open doors home.
Every AfroJetset journey is built around real cultural access, led by locals whose families have carried these traditions for generations, with group sizes capped small so you're never a face in a crowd. Every itinerary is one we'd take ourselves, alongside people who feel like family before the trip even starts.
And we reinvest 50% of our profits into social impact initiatives in the communities we travel to. Forever. That isn't a marketing line, it's how the company is structured.

Several outstanding excursions to different locations made it an exemplary visit. Examples are as follows: Carabali Rainforest Adventure Park for ATV rides. Curated El Yunque Rainforest Tour with local Environmental Specialist. Shopping in the Old San Juan is a must see, so many diverse shops in this one location. For the off the beaten path experience we visited the Iguana Restaurant/Bar in Loiza, right down the road from the Playa Pinones Beach. Good food and golden sand minutes away. Also not to be forgotten while the grownups were having fun we visited the Outlet 66 Mall in Canovanas, where the Just 4 Fun indoor playground was located for our grandson to enjoy himself also. The Rico Pan Bakery is a must stop if you are in the area of Carabali. Thank you Jordan for a most wonderful experience. We will definately be back for more fun and games. This was my second time visiting Africa, but my first time going through a travel agency and I can honestly say, ZERO regrets! As a pretty seasoned traveler, I always plan my own trips. However, recommended by a friend who had work with Afro JetSet Puerto Rico, I decided to give them the chance to enhance my travel experience, especially due to our travel group size. From the moment I inquired, the team was attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience. Every detail was thoughtfully planned: knowledgeable local guides, handpicked accommodations, and a well-balanced itinerary that combined iconic sights with hidden gems I’d never have discovered on my own. They also included days of rest which was much needed after that time change! What stood out most was how stress-free everything felt. I could fully immerse myself in the beauty, culture, and wildlife of Kenya without worrying about logistics. From a truly breathtaking safari to delectable meals, this trip exceeded all expectations and gave me a deeper appreciation of Africa's diversity and warmth. I’m already thinking about my next adventure, and I’ll definitely be booking through this agency again. Highly, highly recommended!Posted on Google Mamadou DialloTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As someone born in Africa, raised in America, I was drawn to AfroJetset's mission to reconnect people and help them travel to Africa and also build bridges across the diaspora. Jordan helped me plan a solo trip to Puerto Rico and it was lifechanging. It was amazing seeing live bomba and plena drumming, and that our ancestors share rhythms, food, and culture, across oceans. Seeing the school Jordan is building in Kenya along with the vision for the Mambowe Impact Fund was really inspiring. The rainforest, seeing local experiences and underatanding the neo cololonism that plagues the Caribbean and especially Puerto Rico was eye opening. I wish AfroJetset to reach all of its potential and that more people from around the world get to experience Africa with this world class social impact travel agency.Posted on Google Gregory SwainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an incredible experience traveling to Kenya with AfroJetSet! From the moment I booked, everything was handled professionally and with such attention to detail. The itinerary was well thought out, blending adventure, culture, and relaxation perfectly. Our local guides were knowledgeable and super friendly—they really made the trip special. I got to see the Maasai Mara, experience Nairobi's vibrant energy, and even relax on the coast near Diani. It honestly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and AfroJetSet made it all so smooth and memorable. If you're thinking about exploring Africa, I highly recommend going through them. I’m already looking at where to go next with AfroJetSet!Posted on Google ralph swainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is my second year traveling to Africa with AFROJETSET. I first did a Kenyan tour with Jordan and my children. That was 2024. This year, I wanted to change it up so I opted to do an Egypt solo travel trip, which I was a bit hesitant, but Jordan’s travel coaching made me feel like it was possible. Looking forward to another adventure and to see if I can keep this streak going of doing at least one trip to Africa. Knowing that half of the profits from my trip are reinvested into a social impact fund to empower youth in Africa was the icing on the cake. Thanks to Jordan and all the team who made a travel dream reality.Posted on Google Kipkurui Oliver29Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a lovely time unplugging from city noises going into the quiet and peaceful wild. My friends and I have always wanted to go to Maasai Mara, Kenya and AfroJetset made that seamless as possible. We really appreciate their efforts into an unwinding game drive and good service all round. Very good and calm destination.Posted on Google LecheTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What I liked about AfroJetset and being around their team is the focus to mental health in Diani Kenya. I enjoyed my stay with Afro carribean food, some fun activities and even learnt some photography skills I never knew I needed through them. Overally, I'd highly recommend their services. Can't wait for round 2!!Posted on Google Beatriz Rodriguez MelecioTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Estuve aquí para una cena preparada por Jasquiat.
